Long Bio:

As you know, I care deeply about the community where I work and live. That is why I need your help. I am running for the Utah House of Representatives and I’m running to make West Jordan a better place for my wife, my two kids, and everyone in our community. When my wife and I moved to the Salt Lake Valley, we chose West Jordan because of the amazing people, great neighbors, and because we saw so much untapped potential. I want my family to enjoy that potential and we need a representative in the legislature that understands those possibilities. I want to be YOUR voice and represent issues that YOU care about.

I have been blessed by my family. I was raised by a hard-working police officer and a stay-at-home mom. My parents taught me hard work and determination, which I will use on Capitol Hill to represent YOUR interests. In 2012 I married the love of my life, Katie. We have two active and energetic boys, Jaxon and Mason. As parents, we hope to instill in them the same values of hard work and determination my parents taught me.

While working for Congressman Rob Bishop, I represented constituents and businesses and helped them navigate the bloated federal government. These people struggled with issues ranging from the military, IRS, Small Business Administration, and Social Security.  One of my first cases was a woman with six kids who called and said she was being dismissed from the Army because of an illness. She was denied health insurance and her pension, leaving her without options. Within a day, I was able to speak with her commanding officers and the various Army Generals to restore the benefits she earned fighting for our country. When I worked as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Salt Lake County Council I scoured the $1.1 billion Salt Lake County budget  looking for ways to save taxpayer money and cut wasteful spending. I work in the private sector, but have the experience of knowing how to get things done in government.  My time in the Utah House will be dedicated to public service.

I know how politics work. I have been involved in the process most of my life in multiple positions.  I will use my experience to pass responsible, pro-growth legislation, but also use it to defeat bad ideas from becoming laws that hurt our economy and restrict our freedom.  This is an exciting time in West Jordan. I want to be involved in the issues that matter most to YOU.

I believe in limited government. I believe that the government should do few things and do those things well. I will fight for Criminal Justice Reform, open space and recreation, and keeping taxes low.

During the coming months I will be trying to meet with as many voters as possible. I want to meet with you. In the meantime, give me a call with any questions on my cell at 801-814-8963 or email me at and be sure to visit my Facebook page at
